Best Weekend Getaways Along The East Coast

I have put together my list of the best weekend getaways along the East Coast after visiting many locations. Many of the best weekend getaways give us just what we need which is a time to relax and maybe see some places and things we've never seen before. These vacation getaways provide us with the time to spend with family and friends and some give us a chance to spend money which of course we all love to do when we're on vacation. Weekend getaways or longer vacations can be cheap getaways for short periods of time or longer if you so desire. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I will tell you about some of the best weekend getaways along the east coast.

Searching for the best hotel deals and best restaurants in the areas can be a chore so I will also try to include some of this kind of information on the areas I've visited such as The Kill Devil Grille on Beach Road. The food is fresh and awesome.

Last Spring I had the chance to go to a place I had never visited before. The Outer Banks in North Carolina was a great family friendly vacation with a lot to see and do. The biggest disappointment during that particular week in late March was the unusual rainy weather. Despite that, we still saw some awesome things and had a wonderful time.

The Sand Dunes were the most amazing giving us a feeling as if we were in the desert. Miles and miles of hills of sand made for a great day of climbing, kite flying and photo taking. The sand dunes were like nothing I have ever seen before. Another unique sight were the wild horses running on the beach. Another fantastic photo opportunity. Our entire family stayed in a 12 bedroom house one block form the ocean making it a fantastic place to stay.

I also have a hub on Niagara Falls which is so very awesome. Make sure you make plans to visit Niagara Falls for your opportunity to experience one of the great wonders of the world.

And of course the Disney vacation to Orlando, Florida can not be matched for a great family friendly vacation. Stay right in the park for the most convenient visit. I used a savings plan through my credit union and saved for this trip for a year to make it an awesome experience. All inclusive is the way to go when it comes to Disney.

Other great places for weekend getaways on the east coast or for vacation getaways may include Williamsburg, Virginia, Niagara Falls, New York or of course Orlando, Florida.
