Letchworth State Park - Hiking, Camping, Cabins and Scenery

Letchworth State Park is among one of the great attractions in New York State.  Often referred to as the Grand Canyon of the East, the park hosts thousands of visitors each year.  All leave with the same reaction, WOW.  I visited there two summers ago.  I have lived about two hours away forever but had never been there.  It was awesome.  As you may be able to tell from the photo included in the hub, I visited in the Fall.  It was breath taking.

The Genesee River runs through the gorge where visitors will see three waterfalls and cliffs as high as 600 feet in some areas.  Tourists can recieve guided tours or just choose trails to stroll as there are over 66 miles of trails to choose from.

Hikers, bikers, snowmobilers.horse riders, cross country skiers, kayakers, rafters, bird watchers, nature lovers and almost any kind of tourist or visitor will find something that interests them at Letchworth State Park.  Facilities at the park include the Glen Iris Inn where visitors can spend the night, get breakfast, lunch and dinner, hold conferences or have an event catered.  Camping facilities include rental cabins and tent and trailer campsites.
